The evening before Christmas Eve

Every year I, Jess, have made the kids new jammies that we give them the night before Christmas Eve. This year I don’t have my sewing machine so we bought the jammies. Here they are posing after they threw on their jammies.

Frois gras or duck liver

This is a special treat that our butcher gave us to taste. We tried to eat with fig jelly but the store was all out of it for Christmas. The kids tried it too and some liked it, some loved it and we all agreed it wasn’t bad! Thanks to our butcher for getting us out of our comfort zone.

Yes this is onion jelly!

This bread is a bit sweet with noissettes, or hazelnuts and golden raisins baked into it. Yummy!

Playing the guitar together

Caleb was so cute and snuggly on my lap, I couldn’t kick him off to play Christmas songs! So instead, we sat together and played. It was a bit of a challenge but well worth the snuggled and music.

Thanks to Drew for giving us this travel guitar we can sing music together as a family!

Aunt Susanne

Before our friend Susanne left for Christmas break she came and ate with us and played with us! She also brought us such a meaningful gift. It is a nativity from Africa bade from banana leaves I believe. Thanks Susanne! It means more to us than you know!

This is it set up in the entry way!

Ali’s new earrings

Ali finally got some new earrings! Her ears are a bit sensitive and a friend who also has sensitive ears told us sterling silver works best for her. After some research and searching we finally found some! Here they are! She would love for everyone to know about her new earrings!
